Asia Cup 2018 is ready to entertain the cricketing world as ACC (Asia Cricket Council) has released Asia Cup 2018 Schedule. Asia Cup will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Eleven matches will be played to evaluate the King of Asia, the Asian Champion. Six Teams are taking participation in this tournament including five ICC Full member teams, namely, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan. The sixth team name is not finalized yet and it will be the one who will win Asia Cup 2018 Qualifiers, starting from 29th August.

Asia Cup main event will begin on 15th September with the opening match between Sri Lanka & Bangladesh. Moreover, Asia Cup is a contest between Asian cricketing nations, therefore, we can’t neglect the arch rivalry between Pakistan & India. Both the teams will face each other on 19th September 2019. Asia Cup 2018 Teams

Six Asian cricketing nations will contest in Asia Cup 2018 tournament. Five Out of six teams are ICC Full members and therefore, they qualified directly for Asia Cup. Whereas, the sixth team will come after playing qualifiers, which will start from 29th Aug.

The tournament will kick off on 15th September but the teams have not officially announced their squads yet. We have listed tentative squads of each team below.

 Pakistan Squad 

Pakistan Squad for Asia Cup 2018 is officially announced today. Muhammad Hafeez and Imad Wasim are not successful in getting spot in final Squad for Asia Cup 2018. Earlier they have called eighteen players (18) in a fitness camp and selected 16 members squad for Asia Cup and two players Imad and Hafeez are not selected due to fitness issues. India Squad for Asia Cup 2018 has been released, but it surprised many of us. Skipper, Virat Kohli is not playing in this tournament and Rohit Sharma will lead team India in Asia Cup 2018.  Bangladesh Squad 

Bangladesh has announced their 15 member team squad for Asia Cup 2018 starting from 15 September at UAE. Team will be lead by skipper Mashrafe Mortaza and will play against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in the group stage contests.

Sabir is facing disciplinary action after threats and use of abusive language against a couple of fans on Social media last year. Therefore, he is not the part of Bangladesh 2018 Asia Cup team squad and Anamul Haque is also not playing. Whereas, top order batsman Mohammad Mithun and a fresh prospect Ariful Haque made their way for this clash of giants contest. Although Shakib al Hasan has some injury concerns but he decided to go for surgery after Asia Cup.
