Brendon McCullum left Lahore Qalandars – PSL 4 News

Brendon McCullum announced his departure from Lahore Qalandar team in his latest tweet on a social media platform.

“A big thank you to Lahore Qalandars for the past two seasons. Today we have parted ways but I leave with fond memories and friendships. I wish you all the best in the future. To the Rana family, a special thank you. Our friendship will always remain,” he wrote.

Lahore Qalandar appointed McCullum after being defeated miserably in the first edition of PSL. All of their efforts went into vain as ex Kiwi Skipper didn’t make any impact to lift the team status in consecutive two seasons of Pakistan Super League. Therefore, LQ has decided not to retain Brendon McCullum for the upcoming edition of the PSL.

McCullum played 18 games for Qalandars with his best score being 44. He led the Qalandars in two editions of PSL with the Qalandars finishing at the bottom in both the editions.

According to sources, Ab De Villiers will be a new captain for the 2019 PSL.
